Start your new year with a heart-opening journey towards deeper intimacy in the healing waters of Joyful Journeys Hot Springs, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Our three-day retreat cultivates ecological intimacy through rewilding practices, Yoga, meditation, ecstatic dance, cacao ceremony, and intimacy workshops led by eco-therapist and Yoga teacher, Mickey Myers. Begin each day with a heart-opening Yoga flow, before diving into transformative practices and rituals designed to nurture safe and authentic connections with Self and nature. Throughout the retreat, nourishing meals crafted from locally sourced ingredients support your journey towards holistic wellness, and stay in your own private or shared heated yurt or room in the lodge.
Embodied Ecologies Retreat Schedule:
Day 1: Arrival and Opening Ceremony
Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere of Joyful Journeys Hot Springs. The retreat begins with an opening ceremony and grounding session in the Yoga shala, where you'll settle into your surroundings and set intentions for the transformative journey ahead.
Afterward, you'll be guided through an intimacy meditation in the springs, followed by a delicious farm-to-table dinner. End your first evening with restorative yoga, and free time to enjoy the springs, cold plunge, and sauna.
Day 2: Deepening Connections
We'll start our day with a revitalizing vinyasa yoga flow, harmonizing body and spirit amidst the serenity of the San Luis Valley, followed by a nourishing breakfast and nature immersion in the herbal greenhouse. After lunch we gather for a cacao ceremony and ecstatic dance. This sacred ritual opens the heart and facilitates deeper connections, focus, and presence. Move through your soul's deep wildness with ecstatic dance—a liberating practice that encourages self-expression and connection through movement.
In the evening, nature-based workshops focus on healing attachment trauma and nurturing healthy relationships with Self, others, and nature. Through guided exercises and sharing circles, explore pathways to feeling safer and more secure in intimacy. Ease your nervous system with a sound bath yin yoga session before bed.
Day 3: Integration and Renewal
The final day begins with a reflective vinyasa yoga session, inviting you to integrate the insights and experiences gained during the retreat. Following the session, enjoy breakfast before embarking on a labyrinth meditation. Immerse yourself in the pristine and rugged San Luis Valley, deepening connection with mind, body, and Earth.
Before departure, participate in a closing ceremony and movement practice that honors the transformations and connections forged during your time together. Leave the retreat with a renewed sense of inner peace, connection, and empowerment, ready to navigate intimacy with greater ease and authenticity.
